Event - Laying-up Supper & Wine Tasting!

With the 2025 sailing season pretty much now ended, and many boats laid-up for the winter, please join fellow members and friends at one of our most popular social events, the annual Laying-Up Supper .... this year with a return to the fun-filled Wine Tasting, being organised by Jane Shott and Noel Cockle!

Come with your best tastebuds!

• The club and bar (note card payments only) will open at 19:30 hrs and from 20:00 hrs, Supper will be served, catered by our fantastic in-house “Pancakes R’Us” crew!  A choice of different One Pot dishes, such as.
• • Mediterranean Seafood Stew
  • Creamy Chicken & Spinach Casserole
  • Pasta Alla Norma.  A classic Italian dish with aubergines & tomatoes
  • All followed by a choice of Lovely Desserts
  • And then the Wine Tasting .......

All of this for the exceptional price of £12.50 per person!  If you want to eat, it is essential that you register in advance and pre-pay by Tuesday, 11th November, so we know how much food and Wine to buy and prepare.

Booking/Registration is via the website ONLY.  For couples, just one member need register and give the 'number of meals' as 2, and provide both names.  Your menu choice(s) must be advised during the booking process.

Pre-payment of £12.50 per person, (£25.00 per couple), must be made to the Club Bank Account quoting your name as reference. Bank details here

Please note there can be NO cash or card payments for food on the evening.

Please also bring your own plates/pasta bowls, plus dessert dish and cutlery.

The small print: We regret no bookings after 11th November, likewise no cancellations without incurring the full cost.

We regret that we are unable to accommodate specific dietary requirements and cannot guarantee that any of our food is suitable for those with allergies.  However, if you have concerns, we will be able to provide a list of the main ingredients upon request.

Event - Commodore's Christmas Party, and Award of the annual Club Trophies

All Members are welcome to join in the Christmas festivities with some winter warming drinks and plenty of nibbles to eat.

And don't forget to put on your best Christmas Jumper! 

By this date, the Club Trophies will all have been gathered and given a bit of spit and polish. They will be on display, and after some drinks and nibbles, and a lot of chatter, the Commodore will be delighted to announce this year's Award winners.

Please do come along to see if you have triumphed, and if not, still enjoy an evening celebrating with the winners, and your fellow members.

As the last Social event of the Calendar year, this is always a great night out for all to enjoy!

       NB: The Bar will be open from 20:00 hrs. as usual. This event will not be provided on Zoom.

GCCC Annual General Meeting 2026

• Reports on the Club's activities over FY 2025
• Voting on any revisions to the Constitution
• The Election of Flag Officers and Committee Members

A must go-to evening for all Members to hear the annual update, find out more about the Club, ask any questions of the Committee, Vote, and have the opportunity to put forward ideas that will help shape the year ahead. Last year's AGM made a real difference at to how we have shaped 2025. 

The Meeting will start at 20:30.

All are welcome!

The AGM will be live in the Papercourt clubhouse. We encourage Members to attend the clubhouse and catch up with friends there.

For non-attendees, by reasons of distance, or health, this evening's presentation will also be broadcast on Zoom over the internet.
