Workshop - Alternative Sources for Power on Boats

Workshop for Club members to find out more regarding Alternative Sources for Power on Boats

Two skippers and a guest will share knowledge about their own experiences regarding Solar, Wind, Hydrogen cell and Electric outboards. This will be in our normal Workshop format, around tables, in an interactive, relaxed and social atmosphere.

Brian Hewson (guest) on how Solar Power is used on the narrow-boats on the Wey & Arun Canal.  He also powers his garden metal and wood-working workshop using solar!!  Brian will be bringing along a working solar set-up of 2 panels, 2 regulators and a battery.

Dick Allen-Shalless will share his experiences with Solar Power.

Throughout there will be the opportunity for all members to share their own experiences; and generally contribute on any other power aspects such as electric outboards.

NB: The Bar will be open from 20:00 hrs. as usual and the Workshop will begin around 20:30 hrs..  Please come along in person and support your Club, meet other Members, and provide any expertise you may have.  This Workshop is not being provided on Zoom.
