Gearbox Workshop
Leader: Ron Moore
Judging from the comments on the club WhatsApp group when this workshop was suggested, the mere mention of the word ‘gearbox’ has many of us scuttling to the nearest marine engineer, but it need not all be bad news! Well at least not all of it....!
To help us better understand the workings of this engineering necessity, Ron has kindly offered to bring along to the club a Hurth gearbox which he will dismantle and examine on the evening. This is your chance to see the inside of something you’d probably not rather see the inside of and learn and understand the workings from a very knowledgeable fellow member!
As is usual, the club will be open from 20:00 hrs. and Ron plans to start the workshop at 20:30 hrs.. If the weather is favourable, the intention is to conduct this workshop outdoors so as to avoid any mess or spillages on the club floor!
Workshops are an opportunity for members to share and develop individual knowledge in a relaxed, informal and social environment and we hope you will be able to join us on the evening.
