A Chance to Help:
With the Brexit outcome still unclear, freedom of movement for UK citizens travelling in Europe remains to be seen. The worst-case scenario is that permission for UK citizens will be limited to 90 days in any 180-day period.
The Cruising Association’s RATS (Regulations And Technical Services) team are asking members and others to email them on firstname.lastname@example.org if they have ever applied for an extended EU visage or if they have any experience or contacts related to overstaying the 90-day limit.
Non-EU citizens willing to make an immediate EU visa application on the basis of extended cruising are particularly encouraged to contact the team; e.g. it is not yet clear if a marina berth would be considered as a permanent address. CA’s goal is to build a database of conditions for obtaining visas, so that members can continue to enjoy extended EU cruising after Brexit.
