- A well attended Laying-up supper saw around 50 members enjoying fish and chips to the
dulcet tones of a pair of folk singers. Chris Byrne won the photographic competition.

- GCCC were represented at the International Fleet Review by Kamelya sailed by David and Wendy Aldous,
having won a place in a Yachting Monthly competition. After Her Majesty had reviewed the fleet from
HMS Endurance David and Wendy were part of the 300, or so, specially selected yachts to sail past
the Endurance, anchored in the Eastern Solent.

- the Notice to Mariners indicates it is a crimial offence to pass them incorrectly!
